They looked to ELIV8’s mobile development services in order to create an iOS application with key visiting information for their guests while freeing up staff time to handle more pressing guest issues, not step-by-step directions to the nearest In-N-Out.

Because this hotel is located in such a large, dense area, the number of things for guests to explore can be overwhelming for staff and guests. Always having the correct information or direction was an obstacle for staff members because there was simply so much to know.
Through a mutual business partner, ELIV8 was introduced to Vanessa Sah, the Sales Manager at the hotel. Knowing that the guests’ experience and loyalty were the driving forces for her hotel, Vanessa was interested in using ELIV8’s services to create a mobile application that guests could use to quickly get information like directions, phone numbers, websites, hours, hotel services, general information and more.

After a series of meetings, Vanessa decided to choose ELIV8 as the agency who would help her create a mobile app for her hotel. With a good amount of printed guest collateral, ELIV8’s first goal was to gather and organize all traveler information they had, as well as create a database for anything we would need to curate online or create our selves.
The next step was to begin finding a layout and design that matched this Residence Inn’s branding as well as make the user interface simple enough for children and elderly people to use as most of their guests come with their whole family.
The app took just under 90 days to design and develop, then after approval from hotel management. We launched the app alongside a in-hotel marketing campaign for guests to download the app.
Just 3 months after the app’s launch, it had been downloaded by over 500 guests, while continuing to reach new guests every month. The app is used an average of 13 timers per user, and each time the app is opened the user stayed there for 3 minutes.
